Jacob sound asleep

Every night before I go to bed I check on the kids and normally need to tuck them back in. Tonight I found it extra cute and humorous when I walked in to find my baby boy sound asleep on his back. Oh how fast they grow up!!

Since we are members of the Strong Museum we decided last minute one Sunday afternoon to take the kids there and then have a nice dinner at PF Changs

I have been researching local farms for a while now and finally made a decision on a local farm about 1/2 hour from our house that is USDA organic certified. We buy our eggs, chicken, and beef from this farm and it has been so good. This is Leah enjoying yummy homemade chicken noodle soup :)
Another picture of my boy being a boy!!

Took the kids to a nearby park that we pass all the time, but never have time to stop at. They had so much fun and we were the only ones there.

Chris and I were feeling for some PF Chang's so we decided to take the kids to the Seneca Zoo, which is about an hour from us then to PF Changs for dinner one day. I just LOVE spontaneous trips like this. It reminds me of the times prior to Chris and I having kids. We would just take off and head down to NYC for the day, Lake Placid, Lake George, etc. Sometimes the best trips are those that we don't analyze and plan :)
(Chris has more Zoo pictures on his phone, I'll post when I get them)

Chris had to leave for work on Father's day for a 5 day trip to Washington so I took the kids to the outlet since I had a few things to return. My aunt came along as well and we ended spending the day with her.

Fun times at another playground!

Our first time at this park and the kids loved it!

Last night was opening night for the new movie Brave and I was surprised that the drive-in movie was playing it. We met up with some friends and I couldn't believe that the kids stayed up for the whole thing. There bed time is usually at 8PM and since Leah never took a nap that day, I figured she would totally sleep through it. I was wrong, both of them stayed up until about 11:00-11:30PM.

Adventure of Juicing and Blending

We've been juicing and blending for the past month and we love it! I can admit I'm a little strange when it comes to making sure my kids have a balance diet and with that strangeness I was getting worried (I know it's normal, but I didn't like it LOL) when Jacob was going through his pickyness on food. Instead of pumping him with even more vitamins/supplements, I figured this was a perfect solution on getting him to eat more greens and veggies during this stage. Don't get me wrong...they both are excellent eaters and overall loves eating veggies/fruits, but this was a great way to ensure that they are getting what they need every single day whether or not we have a "cheating" day or not.

As most of you know, I'm a researching freak so it took me a good 2 weeks of research and watching Youtube videos to figure out what the best juicer and blender would be for our family.

I finally decided on the Omega Juicer and the Vitamix blender. I love coming up with different concoctions to add to our recipe collection. Some are excellent and some...well not so yummy and Leah will be the first to tell me "Mommy, this is not good" or "Mommy, this is yucky". The ones I love to hear are "Mmmm mommy, this is so so good" or "Mmmm, this is so yummy". Even some of the not so tasty ones, Jacob will down and sometimes even ask for seconds :)

Our Juicer :)
Mmmm....this one was tasty!

Grapefruit with ginger and something else (Can't remember)
I think this was carrot, cucumber, apple juice
Leah is awesome at juicing!

Leah just relaxing on her bed reading a book after she made her bed in the morning.

My first real crafty activity with the kids. Since we've moved in, I've noticed lots of empty walls that I would like to fill with memories. Instead of purchasing meaningless artwork just to fill up the walls, I wanted to do a few crafty activities with the kids. This is the first one we've done and we had so much fun doing it...having them pick out their own colors and where to put those colors.

Jacob on Mother's day
Oh my bratty boy! He loves to stand on this thing and no matter how many times I say "No", he still does it. At this point, I just let him do it and if he falls, he falls.
Leah took this picture of her brother. She thought it was hilarious that he put a warning sticker on his forehead.
